  1. How long have you worked at Confex?
I have worked at Confex Central Distribution now since January 2013.
  2. What were you doing before joining Confex?
Before joining Confex I was living and working in Rugby Warwickshire. I had been living there for 25 years or so until my husband and I relocated and downsized in 2012 to a small cottage in a pretty village called Hook Norton not far from where I now work at Confex. In the main I was raising my 3 sons in Rugby and I worked part time as a Trading Law Colleague at a large Supermarket chain. My role there was to keep the store within legal parameters and I guess thatís why I am now the Health and Safety person here at Confex!
  3. Tell us something different about your life outside of Confex?
Recently I have landed a part in the village Pantomime due to be staged in Jan 2015. The Pantomime is Cinderella and I shall be playing the part of Cinderellaís step mother Evillia Belching-Forthe. I am currently trying really hard to learn all my linesÖoh yes I am! I also love to do some gardening. We have a very large garden and have had to landscape all of it which is taking rather a long time. What we have done though looks fabulous. One area of the garden is home to 20 or so hens, another area houses an aviary of canaries and another was an area where we raised first two, then three, then 9 pigs! Next Spring we are contemplating having a couple of cade lambs. We also have a vegetable patch and an allotment in the village so there are times when absolutely everything that is on our plate has been grown or reared by us. I recently got married in Gretna Green!
  4. Who are your role models and why?
I donít really have a role model as such, but there are certain people that I admire greatly - I love to watch anything by Sir David Attenborough, he is amazing! and I love to listen to any thing by Sir Tom Jones.
  5. How do you like to spend any spare time you may have?
In my spare time I really enjoy being creative by crocheting, making cards and celebration cakes.
  6. What is the most interesting place you have visited and why?
India is the most vibrant, colourful, sensual, bustling place I have ever been to.
  7. Tell us an ambition you have achieved and one you have yet to fulfil?
Owning a chocolate box cottage in the country with geraniums in the window boxes is an ambition that I have achieved and having such a beautiful garden that we can open it to the public is an ambition that I am still working on.
  8. What do you like about working at Confex?
The fact that itís always busy, there is always plenty to do and never a boring moment, ever, and the girls I work with, priceless!
