  1. How long have you worked at Confex?
I will have worked at Confex for a year on November 4th
  2. What were you doing before joining Confex?
Before joining Confex I had a short break of 6 months to look after my children but before then I was working as a HCA /Ward Clerk at The Ellen Badger Hospital in Shipston on Stour and before that I was a Team Leader for a customer services department for an Ethical Telecoms Provider in Chipping Norton.
  3. Tell us something different about your life outside of Confex?
Outside of Confex I am a single parent to 5 children aged 17, 14, 12, 9 and 5, who ensure that I am kept busy at all times.
  4. Who are your role models and why?
My grandfather would be my main role model, he was a great family man who everyone adored. He experienced more sorrow than most people could even imagine yet he managed to find the positive in everything. I donít think there was ever a day I didnít see him smiling. If I can be half the parent and grandparent he was then I will be very happy.
  5. How do you like to spend any spare time you may have?
When I am not busy running around after the children, I enjoy pottering around in the garden, shopping, reading and the odd cocktail on a Friday evening with my girlfriends. Unfortunately I donít have much time for anything else at the moment.
  6. What is the most interesting place you have visited and why?
The most interesting places I have visited would have to be Hong Kong, the culture was amazing and I just loved the buzz of the street life out there, the bright lights, the buildings and of course the food. I would also have to say the Blue Mountains in Australia, simply breath taking!
  7. Tell us an ambition you have achieved and one you have yet to fulfil?
My main ambition at the moment is just to bring my children up to be considerate, successful, happy people and once I have achieved that and they have all fled the family home then I would like to continue with my travels around the world. Another ambition would be to learn to play the piano. I had a few lessons when I was younger and can just about manage to play Hot Cross Buns and We Three Kings so to be able to play properly would be amazing.
  8. What do you like about working at Confex?
What do I like about working for Confex? Apart from dealing with chocolate nearly all day I would have to say the fact that there are never two days the same. The workload is always full on and each order different and complex in its own way so always something to get your teeth into. There is never time to get bored and I have some great colleagues, there is never a dull day at the office!
